A very special award ceremony to showcase the best machinima for language learning. These machinima have been created by language educators during the 5-week MachinEVO workshop. For many of these, creating machinima is their first-time experience.

This is a red carpet event and elegant attire is required.

The CAMELOT 2014 Awards
CAMELOT (CreAting Machimina Empowers Live Online Teaching) is a two-year EU-funded project focusing on language learning with machinima (2013-2015).
The CAMELOT Project Team is pleased to announce a new prize to encourage the integration of machinima in language education to be awarded during the MachinEVO Film Festival on 28th of February 2014.
Prizes will be awarded in three levels of achievement (Gold, Silver and Bronze). The CAMELOT Award is open to anyone who has created machinima and participants from MachinEVO 2012, 2013 and 2014 are particularly encouraged to submit applications. The award is also open to participants submitting an application based on machinima that have been produced by others (as long as they have the permission of the original authors).
Participants are asked to submit the URL of their machinima and to provide a brief description of:

1) the envisaged context of their work, e.g., whether the machinima are to be used in
a) autonomous language learning
b) classroom environments
c) blended learning environments
d) or as part of fully online courses

2) the procedures for using the machinima in the chosen context. Applicants may need to briefly identify, for example:
a) the target language and proficiency level of the learners
b) the type of learners
c) the types of activities required in addition to the machinima
d) any additional materials that are required for the activity

Submissions will be judged by the CAMELOT Project Team according to the above categories, as well as the use of machinima to effectively visualise the language learning content.
